Neilson [math teacher] feels we should get a sense of what we believe in before we go off to college. Learning morals from the bible or through fear is NOT what we need right now.
Instead of arguing over the existence of God, wouldn't we be better off educating ourselves about the world around us? Now, people might think praying each night will change the world, and I'll respect that opinion, but I will say NOTHING will be changed unless us humans, not gods, take action and get things the way we want it.
I want to call him out. Because this is one argument I will not lose. I would get him to admit that the bible was written by rich white men and DEFINITELY altered to appease their sexist, racist views. Women are less than men. Jesus and his apostles were white. It's bullshit.
There is no way. But those are just "minor details" I guess.
He thinks he's so damn morally superior to us. That because we dye our hair, get a tattoo, get a piercing, or wear something "offensive" (through his perspective), that makes us evil. He does it so damn subtly, but he does it, nonetheless. It sounds very harsh, but he's a neo-fascist.
Like when I wore that t-shirt, he says "what does that show about what kind of a person you are?". Dickhead.
